volunteer clearances
The PA Legislature requires GraceWay to obtain child safety clearances for any volunteers who work with children. This includes any adult individuals 18 years of age or older serving in an unpaid position who are responsible for the welfare of one or more children or have direct contact with children through any program, activity, or service sponsored by GraceWay Community Church. Anyone fitting this category must obtain clearances prior to volunteering in order to comply with the Child Protective Services Law. The church requires volunteers to furnish a copy of their clearance paperwork, which are valid for five years from the date issued and will be kept on file with the church office. All volunteers are required to provide clearances that are free of incidences.
Below are the links to obtain or renew the criminal and child abuse clearances:
-
Criminal History Check: Choose the option "New Record Check (Volunteers Only)," which is free of charge for volunteers. After completing the check, please choose the option to print out the certificate or download as a PDF. The PDF can then be handed to or emailed to Bonnie Lowe at office@gracewaycc.com.
-
Child Abuse History Clearance: Choose the option to "Create Individual Account" (Or Individual Login if renewing) and proceed to submit the information for the clearance. These results are emailed to you, which you can then forward to Bonnie Lowe at office@gracewaycc.com once you receive it.
If you have any questions about the clearances or the submission process, please feel free to reach out to Bonnie Lowe.
