Sunday Worship

We meet in person for our weekly worship service on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at Donegan Elementary School (1210 E 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015) on the south side of Bethlehem. The sermon is also streamed on our YouTube channel and is made available to watch afterward.

 

Our whole goal during our worship service is to help our people focus on the Person and the work of Jesus Christ. You can expect that on most weeks, we’ll worship through music, through giving opportunities, and through the preaching of God’s Word. We will occasionally celebrate communion in our services as well. The services generally last about an hour and 30 minutes.

Prior to the beginning of service we make available a light breakfast (coffee/tea, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and other light breakfast items) in the lobby, which allows us to briefly connect with one another before service begins. This café time runs from 9:15-9:50 a.m.

If you plan to visit us on a Sunday morning, please note that the parking lot is located around the back of the school off of 5th St. You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We don’t have a formal dress code, so come as you are!


During the sermon portion of our service, we offer a nursery for infants & toddlers and classes for kids through 5th grade. On first Sundays of the month, kids remain in the service, and we include a special kid’s message and activities.

SERVE WITH US!

SET-UP/TEAR DOWN TEAM
Our set-up/tear down team is responsible for setting up the benches, tables, and some equipment in preparation for Sunday morning worship and then returning the gym to school set-up after the service is over. Two to three people serve on this team each week, with a rotation of once every 4-6 weeks, and training is provided.

Preparation/Requirements: None
Time Commitment: 1 hour on Sundays starting at 8:30 a.m.

CAFÉ SERVICE TEAM

Our café team oversees the set-up of the food at our weekly Breakfast Café, helps to serve food, and closes the Café at the start of service. They also oversee the clean-up once the service is over and help with basic inventory needs. Two people serve on this team each week, with a rotation of once every 4-6 weeks, and training is provided. This is a great option for a parent and a child to serve together!

Preparation/Requirements: None
Time Commitment: 1 hour on Sundays starting at 9 a.m.

GREETING TEAM
Our Greeting Team members are the first faces people see on a Sunday morning! The team includes a weekly door greeter to welcome people upon arrival and a Welcome Desk greeter to help answer questions, direct newcomers, and oversee sign-up for Children's Sunday School. The team also oversees the set-up and tear-down of the Welcome Desk. Two people serve on this team each week, with a rotation of once every 4-6 weeks, and training is provided. This is a great option for a parent and a child to serve together!

Time Commitment: 1 hour on Sundays starting at 9:00 a.m.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY TEAM
Our Children's Ministry team serves our GraceWay kids, potty-trained to 5th grade, in their Sunday school classes. Teachers are provided a lesson ahead of time, which includes all the games, handouts, and activities to go along with the Bible lesson being taught. They are responsible for preparing the classroom briefly on Sunday mornings before the service starts and cleaning up after class is over. Two adults (+ a teen helper) serve in each of two classes each week, with a rotation of once a month, and training is provided.

Preparation/Requirements: 1 hour max prep of lesson before Sunday morning, safety clearances required on file
Time Commitment: 1 hour on Sundays during the sermon time, plus brief classroom set-up at 9:45 a.m.

NURSERY TEAM

Our Nursery Ministry provides care for our littlest GraceWay kids in a portable nursery setting. Team members are scheduled every 4-6 weeks on a standby rotation to serve as nursery is needed (which is not every week currently). They are responsible for preparing the nursery space briefly on Sunday mornings before the service starts and cleaning up at the end. Two adults are on the rotation each week, and training is provided.

Preparation/Requirements: no prep, safety clearances required on file
Time Commitment: 1 hour on Sundays during the sermon time, plus brief nursery set-up at 9:45 a.m.
