John: The Face of the Betrayer

Judas was so close to Jesus, and yet so much the servant of Satan. He’d heard the message of the Messiah, served in the power of the Prince of Peace, and had journeyed shoulder to shoulder with Jesus’ beloved sheep. In fact, he himself had quite literally walked with the Savior from day to day, village to village, and miracle to miracle. Who could have seen this coming? This week, as we finish our study of John 13:1-30, we will take some time to (perhaps uncomfortably) look hard into the face of the world’s most notorious unbeliever while also considering the genuineness of our own faith. Let’s pray that through this talk, God would expose any self-deception among us. May none of us prove to be a Judas.
